CONVERSATION BETWEEN

PRESIDENT TRUMAN and GENERAL MACARTHUR


Part 1: The year is 1951. President Truman is frustrated with General MacArthur’s handling of the Korean War. Create a conversation between President Truman and General MacArthur regarding war strategy. End the conversation with President Truman firing General MacArthur.

Part 2: The year is 2010. North Korea and South Korea have just exchanged shots. Create a conversation between the “ghosts” of President Truman and General MacArthur regarding the war strategy in retrospect.

Example of Set-up:

Part 1:
TRUMAN: Hello, this is President Truman calling from the White House.

MACARTHUR: General MacArthur speaking.

TRUMAN: I would like to discuss the situation in Korea.

Part 2:
GHOST OF MACARTHUR: Hello, Truman. Long time no see....
